Surprise yourself; take an unexpected risk! Discover and discuss the artist’s approach to ideation, and then create unexpected responses to our morning discoveries in a variety of art forms: poetry, sculpture, dance, painting, drawing, or music. No arts experience necessary.

What: What will you learn or experience as a result of this session?
  1. Explore the artist’s approach to ideation and creativity
  2. Apply these approaches to create a structure for your creative endeavors
  3. Discover how to adapt and create artistic ideation approaches in your own personal style, to apply to your work

So What: How will the content of this session change your perceptions, habits, ways of working, or view on the world?
  1. Consider patterns in artist approaches to ideation and creativity
  2. Examine applications of these patterns to other artistic endeavors
  3. Discover other risk taking abilities in your own learning

Now What: How might you apply what you learn or experience in this session?
  1. Experience different approaches to creativity through viewing different art pieces
  2. Learn to look at ideation through the lens of other artful approaches
  3. Expand your method of problem solving as applies to your own work
