DD09 Your Design Process, in a Box

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Similar to the program that was designed for LEGO by the PARK team, this session will guide you through the building blocks of Design, through an on-the-spot creation of your own creative process. Design can add a lot of value to the (triple) bottom line, but only when it is led and managed well. One key driver in leading and managing design is the creative process itself. But like creativity, no two processes are alike.

Design process follows both an emotional and rational process. While creatives often do not like to be “constrained” to a particular way of working (i.e. process) by capturing and developing creativity with a formal process in place, output can be achieved more efficiently and more effectively. Even if there is not a well-captured and articulated way of working, there is still an inherent process in place as design is driven by procedures as well as by rituals.

While creating and capturing a design process can be a daunting task, we can also apply creativity to designing the design process itself. This interactive hands-on workshop will help participants get (more) familiar with design processes, while rethinking and improving their current process. By using standard process components participants can prototype and iterate on their current and desired ways of working, based on their industry, role, company culture and other influencing factors allowing a creative framework to deliver within clear commercial objectives and constraints.
