We know that creative thinking and collaboration in organizations of all kinds (higher education, government and industry) are essential to the success of both the individual and the organization as a whole, but how exactly do we build capacity for it? Valencia College has taken the “prototype” approach to engaging with colleagues in understanding and developing mindset and skillset for co-creation. Join us to experience some of what we’ve identified as important components to co-creating the culture and support needed for faculty, staff, and students to think differently about their work and for you to begin thinking about how you might contribute to creating the conditions for deliberate creativity and authentic collaboration in your team and/or at your organization.

What
  1. Learn about Valencia College’s approach to designing creativity and collaboration mindset, skill set and tool set in faculty, staff, and administrators
  2. Explore your own co-creation mindset
  3. Engage in opportunities to reflect on and stretch outside your comfort zone in how you might apply creative thinking and collaboration
So What
  1. Imagine what might be possible in your work and how you might build capacity for co-creation among your team and/or at your organization
  2. Collaborate with like-minded individuals to further develop your perspective
Now What
  1. Opportunity to think about how you might create the conditions for deliberate creativity and authentic collaboration in your team and/or at your organization
